What happens is I export the DDS to GIMP, and the pattern is normal. I edit it, and import the new recolored file back to Sim4PE. When I export it back, I choose the "BC3/DXT5" compression and "generate mipmaps".
Then, when I preview it on Sim4PE, the normal recolor had turned into a pixelated mess which looks like something crawled out of Minecraft to paint it, especially in the darker areas.

Is there any way to get the proper recolor without making it look so... bleh in GIMP?
